🌟 Healthy Dye-free Kid Approved Snacks! 🌟

Healthy Snack IdeasπŸ’‘

As many of you know, we’ve been on a journey to adjust our kids' diets, especially after learning about the impact of dyes and added sugars, particularly when it comes to ADHD.  It hasn’t been easy, but we’ve found some amazing, kid-approved snacks that are not only healthy but also free of those harmful additives. 🍎✨

( If you're not familiar, check out this blog post➡️https://navigatinglifewithruthie.blogspot.com/2025/04/connecting-dots-adhd-in-our-family.html )

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Fresh fruits like apple slices, berries, and sliced cara-cara oranges—easy, natural, and sweet! πŸ“πŸŠ

  • Tortilla Chips with salsa (I add black beans for more protein and sour cream (crunchy-savory)

  • Popcorn (plain or lightly seasoned)—a perfect whole-grain option. 🍿

  • Smoothies made with almond milk, spinach, bananas, and frozen berries—nutritious and delicious! 🍌πŸ₯€(filling)

  • No-dye,  homemade energy bites for an on-the-go treat. Here's the link to the recipe I have used before➡️https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/239969/no-bake-energy-bites/  🍫

  • String cheese (protein)

  • Any sliced veggie with a side of Ranch Dressing (kids love dipping or double dipping)

Here is a list of some dye-free, healthy snacks on Amazon (with links) for when you don't have the time to make a homemade snack.⬇️
